We are partnering with FanExpo Philly to curate the Book Nook at this year’s convention. Stop by Multiverse’s curated collection of science fiction and fantasy titles and their author signing events!

Meet author Brittney Morris!
Brittney Morris is the bestselling author of SLAY, The Cost of Knowing, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales - Wings of Fury, and The Jump. She also writes video games and has contributed to projects such as The Lost Legends of Redwall, Subnautica: Below Zero, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and Marvel's Wolverine.

Meet author & artist Reggie Byers!

Reggie Byers, a Philadelphia resident, has created comic books for 40 years. He is credited as a trailblazer for being the first African American self-publisher of black and white comics when he produced his manga inspired series, SHURIKEN in 1985. Reggie has worked on numerous comic books including ROBOTECH for Comico, JAM QUACKY THE HIP-HOP DUCK, CRESCENT, and AFROBOY & PUFFGIRL. Reggie is currently creating a reboot of AFROBOY & PUFFGIRL and producing a new SHURIKEN graphic novel.

Meet author & artist Jamar Nicholas!

Jamar Nicholas is an award-winning, Philadelphia-based artist and educator, dedicating his career to helping young people realize the power of visual narrative. Jamar's Leon Worst Friends Forever (2024) is the new follow up to his graphic novel Leon the Extraordinary (Scholastic). He also is a contributor to the new Marvel Super Stories #2 collection.

Meet author Alex Smith!
Alex Smith is a Philadelphia artist and activist whose writing⁠―from science fiction, to superhero comics, to music and art critique⁠―delves into worlds often forgotten, inhabited by people often marginalized.  A founding member of art/activist insurrectionist sci-fi collective Metropolarity, curator of queer sci-fi and Afro-cyberpunk events Laser Life and Chrome City, Smith found a home for his noisy take on science fiction in community centers and on the pages of self-produced, stitched together at midnight zines and chapbooks. Arkdust is the culmination of that work, weird and wild stories that imagine futures for the rest of us.

Kay Synclaire is the author of the cozy fantasy novel House of Frank—a warm and hopeful story of a lonely witch consumed by grief who discovers a whimsical cast of characters in a magical arboretum--and the healing power of found family.

Meet author Victoria Mier!

Victoria Mier is a queer, disabled author and suspected changeling. Beyond the Aching Door, her romantic urban fantasy debut, has been featured in multiple book boxes and is an Indie Ink Awards finalist. Her most recent title, Holy Wrath, is a standalone gothic sapphic fantasy exploring religious trauma and gay wrath.

Meet author James “Enoch” Church!

James “Enoch” Church is the author of Immortal Dark, a Black supernatural martial arts manga series. It is an action packed deep dive into the mental health of young martial artist Nico Savage, who returns home and becomes a professional fighter in the Immortal Fighting Coalition (also known as the I.F.C) in order to get revenge on his sister for stealing the opportunity to murder their father from him. Immortal Dark is a tale of vengeance centered around the process of healing and the importance of breaking cycles of generational trauma.
